The Photos were taken of a spectacular fashion show of the avant-garde designers named As Four, guests like Björk created a colourful & extravagant crowd. The show took place in a junior high school auditorium close to china town and was the talk of New York Fashion Week back then.
The saturated warm tones where created through using a daylight slide film in a tungsten stage light form. The slides were made into colour negatives which I printed. The models in their extravagant outfits walking through the auditorium, with the light by a stage follow spot, created a surreal scenario. I was very stunned by the results I got in this dim light situation.
